Apple Music automatically playing when devices are connected? How to disable?

Every time I connect a bluetooth device to my iphone 16, Apple Music will auto launch in the background and start playing music. The app is not even launched, just whenever any bluetooth device is connected it will start blasting automatically in the background. I have to launch the Music app, bring up the player, and stop the track every time I connect a bluetooth device.

I have tried every hack to disable it. Disabled handoff, all sharing and sync options, created several shortcuts to set volume as zero and pause all music etc when bluetooth is connected, however there is no consistent hack that works. The shortcuts automations work maybe the first couple times, then never work again so it isn't consistent.

Does anyone have a working solution to this? Apple won't address the problem.
