Why Is Cmd-I function not working in Apple Music anymore?

I used to be able to fix album issues in the Music app by Cmd clicking the albums, the hitting cmd-i. This would allow me to change the "album artist" and keep all songs from one album showing as one icon. Same thing for when the Music app mysteriously splits songs in one album into 2 albums. I would cmd-click the albums, then cmd-i, change the album name by addling like an 'x' at the end of the album name, hit okay (now the albums are merged back into 1 album) then repeat the process and remove the 'x' from the album name - and all is good again.

Why does Cmd-i no longer work? I can't tell if this changed as of 15.4.1 or something else. I have almost no apps running so it's not as if some other app is assigned Cmd-i

I find that it depends on the albums that I have selected (with cmd-click). Sometimes after selecting my albums I can then type cmd-i but frequently it's now just the error sound. Further, if you cmd-click an album you can see that in the menu Song-->Info... (is greyed out).

Most of the time, even cmd-click one album, then cmd-i - gives the error sound.

In the past...if you cmd-click multiple albums and then right-click-->Get Info, if you then make any changes (across multiple albums) and click "ok" - your changes will not show. You had to use cmd-i to get your changes to save. Even now, cmd-click multiple albums, right-click, get-info make changes, Ok - your changes are still not saved.

Everything in my library is either music ripped from CDs (the majority of it) or purchased through iTunes. None of my music is temporary as in from Apple Music. The library is quite large but I do not think that I have reached the iTunes library max.

Sometimes it works for an album that I just added. There has been the mysterious Apple thing where an album gets split - after it just imported as one album. The next day it is mysteriously now two albums. Sometimes I get cmd-click the albums to piece back together and then hit cmd-i and sometimes I cannot. When I cannot, then I have to jump through many more hoops to get things situated properly.
