ios 18.4.1 CardDav verification failed and not accepting the password

Hi when i updated my iphone 15 to 18.4.1 ios - may carddav is now giving me error for putting the password and when i am putting the app-generated password for 2FA account its again failing.


I read it’s a bug in the ios 18.4.1 version, i also read the fix that if you replace @ in mail with with manual type it’s working. So, i tried that and i got the verification passed with green tick for CardDav and it saved. However, when i am trying to sync the contacts, its again giving me same error of password incorrect.


So, the suggest tip of replacing the @ is working for the verification only but its still not allowing to sync the contacts with phone….any way how to resolve this or move to icloud contact from this issue

This has nothing to do with the ios, you need to report it to whomever you mail provider is or look at their help site, since they can't authenticate you.

And please explain to me how Apple and the ios, is responsible to verify your Carddav account?

And did you contact your provider to let them know, or you just ignore my response.

Defects are fixed , new defects are introduced. If you are able to connect your account seconds before an upgrade then that connection fails when immediatly following the upgrade. Ether the connection string is not passed along properly or the password. You can argue that if all who are posting the same issue from different providers, then it's clear not a provider issue.
