How to fix missing album artwork after syncing with Music app on iPhone 12?

After syncing with the Music app on Mac to my iPhone 12, lots of artwork was missing from album tracks that had embedded artwork.

Plugged the phone in again and used iTunes to sync the same tracks to the phone. All artwork was displayed successfully in the Music app on iOS.

Anyone else come across this issue ?

How to fix Artwork sync issues between iPhone and Mac in Apple Music This issue was brought up in this community in Aug '22, but has still not been fixed by Apple and replies have been blocked. The problem is that not all artwork shown in Songs view in the Music app on the iPhone syncs with the artwork shown in Songs view in the Music app on the Mac. I think this happens when Music can't automatically find the artwork and/or a user adds artwork in Music on the Mac. If there is a mismatch and/or the music note appears, meaning no artwork associated with the song, one has to delete the song on the iPhone and then re-sync the iPhone with the Music app on the Mac in order to get the iPhone to download and display the correct artwork. ~250 people indicated they had the same problem in the previous post. I had to do this for over hundred songs on my iPhone this week. It is an UNPLEASANT user experience, to say the least. I think the proper sync'ing procedure Apple should use is for the iPhone to check if the iPhone Artwork file matches the Mac. If not, during the sync process, ask the user which devices', i.e., Mac or iPhone, artwork to use. This is the way most databases engage users to resolve conflicts. Apple Music Artwork on iPhone 14 Pro Doesn't Match Desktop I haven't found a community forum solution that works for me, nor elsewhere. And a lot of answers are confusing. So, trying again with a new post. Within Apple Music on my iPhone, much of the album artwork does not match the 'correct' artwork attached to the albums. Everything is correct in desktop. How do I fix?? Notes: iPhone running iOS 16.1.1 currently. Pretty sure problem existed in earlier versions... iPhone 14 Pro. Pretty sure I didn't see this problem on my earlier iPhone XS I have 24.35 GB of manually-synced music on the iPhone. I see the problem with much of the music, but not all. Problem affects music bought through Apple Music app (desktop) and music uploaded, indiscriminately - I think Apple Music app viewed through desktop is 100% correct. So, why does the artwork not sync correctly when iphone is plugged into laptop and I manually sync...? Any thoughts, forum?
