Mac mini M4 - switch on using keyboard or mouse

Hi,

I would like to buy Mac mini M4, but I need to start it using keyboard or mouse, because it will be inside a box behind a sofa. Is it possible?

Thanks for your answers.

I am new in Mac ;) . I am looking for something small with 4k 120Hz video output. I am planing to use it as a "connection with the world" - communities about my interests, then movies and series and also childen-type games. I want to connect it to my 4k 120 Hz TV. 120Hz because my eyes are very soon tired at small frequencies.

These new Mac mini's can be picky when it comes to HDMI cables. If what your using with your current PC doesn't work with the Mac mini, then you need to replace it with a high quality certified high speed HDMI cable.

Shouldn’t have a problem running 4K 120 Hz with an 8K 60 Hz certified HDMI cable. The only issue I had with a 8K 60 Hz certified HDMI cable was when running it at 240 Hz.

Wouldn’t come out of monitor standby when set to 240 Hz and I didn’t have the Variable Refresh Rate option of (48-240 Hertz).

Only with a USB-C to DisplayPort cable was I able to run 240 Hz and had the Variable Refresh Rate option of (48-240 Hertz).

With the 8K 60 Hz certified HDMI cable I only had the Variable Refresh Rate option of (48-120 Hertz) and I had to run it at 120 Hz due to aforementioned monitor standby issues.

Thanks everybody for your answers.

I am sorry for duplicity, my nb crashed during sending my issue and I wrote it again.

I thing, that HDMI cable will be the smallest problem in my "Mac life". Because now I use a Logitech trackball with programable buttons. I need zoom (in and out) and volume (up and down). I am not sure it will work with M4 Mac mini. I will try....
