Unable to launch Pages or documents in either normal or safe modes on my MacBook Air

Macbook Air M1 2020. Sequoia 15.4.1

I'm unable to launch mac pages app or documents in either normal or safe modes. Have deleted old and downloaded new version. Icon will bounce but then after a minute or so "Pages (not responding)" appears in the finder's "force quit" box. Any thoughts?

If you have installed any anti-virus product, or used any so-called "Mac Cleaner" product, remove those per vendors instructions. If you installed anything else prior to Pages v14.4 crashing on Sequoia v15.4.1, make note of that in your response.

Pages v14.4 should function normally on macOS 15.4.1 when installed in the Applications folder on the internal drive of that M1 Air. When a crash or force quit from a hung application occurs, the next time you attempt to run Pages, you press and hold the shift key while launching Pages. That prevents it from using its last saved execution state and a potentially a repetition of that condition.

No point rebooting or safe boot mode again. I have Pages v14.4 working without issue on an M1 MacBook Pro (15.4.1).

Rather than replying to a post that is already solved for the OP, you should have started a new main Pages post as your circumstances may be different.

What version of Pages and what version of macOS are you presently using?

If you are defaulting to Pages using iCloud Drive storage, have you run out of storage on iCloud Drive, as that has been one scenario in the past where Pages would crash on launch.
