Did you perform a Time Machine migration from an older operating system during the initial setup of that new MBP? Since Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are not installed by the operating system, you may have unexpectedly restored older, incompatible versions which might be the cause of that behavior. If true, I would move those three applications to the Trash and empty it before attempting to reinstall them from the Mac App Store.
For Monterey and Ventura, you would need Pages, Numbers, and Keynote versions 12.2.1 or later.
When an application quits unexpectedly, whether as a crash, hang, or power outage — its last saved executation state may be problematic on the next application launch. To avoid these applications from loading that prior state, press and hold the shift key when launching them, and see if that results in stable application behavior.
