How to resolve permission errors when bouncing MP3 files in Logic Pro on a new Mac mini M4?

New Mac mini M4 (2025), clean installs, including Logic Pro. I can bounce PCM (WAV & AIF). But MP3 bounces give permission errors. Please help.... Thanks

SOLVED: Logic Pro X permissions error when bouncing to only MP3 any non-PCM format. I encountered a problem where bouncing to any format, without also including PCM as one of the bounced formats, results in a permissions denied error. If PCM was included in the checked formats, it would function fine. I suspected that this might be related to the fact that the full bounce was still having to be generated somewhere in a temp directory as a PCM file before being rendered in my target directory in my other chosen formats. The permissions were likely a problem on that Temp location. It was flummoxing because I am running as a system admin on the machine and there was no specific directory or file mentioned in the permission error, and therefore, per the message, nothing to check in Finder. I figured it wasn't a big deal as I can always "co-bounce" in WAV and bypass the problem, but I later tried to stretch an audio sample and got a similar error and this time, it named "Temp" as the problem folder. Using this as a clue, I searched for a Temp folder (note the upper case T) and while there are a few on my system, I was able that ~\Music\Audio Music Apps\Temp had system read and right privileges, but I (even as an admin user) did NOT. I added myself to the list (via Finder's Get Info dialog) with Read & Write permission, and bingo. Problem solved. Obviously this is the folder where some of Logic's temp files are located. Not sure why it wasn't set correctly to start with, but hopefully this helps someone sometime!

How do I fix Audible audio files not playing on my M2 Mac mini? Using a M2 Mac mini running the latest OS. Audible audio files were playing fine out of Apple Books a month or so ago. Now, not one plays. Keeps asking for authorisation. Followed the on-screen instructions, but keep being directed back to my Mac after going through various hoops. Audible support has ran out of ideas. Hence the community. Look forward to hearing any suggestions. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Why am I getting an access denied error when trying to import CD into Apple Music on my Mac mini? Trying to import a CD into Music on a new Mac mini I get the error message "The file [name] couldn't be converted. Access to the source volume was denied. Check the system settings for removable volume access". I've followed instructions to make sure removable volumes is checked in Settings/Privacy & Security/ Files & Folders/Music. Thanks. Yeah I tried confirming access for Logic Pro. I've been incrementally installing my music apps.

I believe the problems started after install Native Instruments (Komplete) or Ableton Live.

All drives are giving me the permissions issue.... Thanks again.
