Need ability to set a proximity alarm that is NOT the home location (for all the family members)

I need the ability to turn on a switch when either I, or my spouse, enter our subdivision (a 1200 foot radius from the house). Clearly, the current 300-foot restriction on the 'Home' zone won't work. I have managed to achieve this for myself by using the house address across the street, then widening the perimeter to 1200 feet. This works great for me. However, when I try to duplicate this automation for my wife, it won't let me and forces me to use the default Home zone for her. (Caveat: I'm configuring my wife's automation using my iPhone, not hers, so I don't know if that is a factor or not; I assume the Home app is common across all our devices.)

Is there a way of creating another 'zone' around my house which is greater than 300-feet, which can be used for proximity automation? I'd rather not mess with the actual 'Home' location, as I use this to indicate whether I'm in the house or not.

BTW, I would assume this capability should be available in any home automation, as it is a very common use case, such as turning on climate, lights, etc. long before you physically arrive at the house.
