Airpods Max quieter over USB-C than via Bluetooth?

AirPods Max have the latest 101 firmware. I am connecting from my iPad Pro M1. USC-Cconnection requires turning up the volume. Is this normal?

AirPods Pro too loud even on lowest volume setting I've recently bought a pair AirPods 3rd gen and when I use them connected to my iPhone they are much too loud, even on the lowest volume setting. Adjust AirPods noise level on Dell Laptop First time user of Apple Ear Pods, I connected them my Dell Laptop and cannot adjust noise level! They are way too loud. Volume on my AirPods Pro going to 50% at connection This happens to my AirPods with every device I connect to. The AirPods starts playing at 50% volume, regardless of what volume I left it on when disconnected. How do I make my AirPods increasing the volume on every connection?
