How to stop unrequested Apple Music playback on HomePod mini stereo pair?

For years - no problem. Then last week unit began to play Apple Music 1 for no reason - and, I don’t have Apple Music 1 !!!

I have 2 Home Pod minis - Grouped as a Stereo Pair.

I have tried all recommended actions - several times - no long term resolution. The issue always returns.

This morning it started at 5:50 AM.

All Apple products are up to date.

Product is really useless in this condition.

everyone has apple music 1 Apple Music 1 - Wikipedia

it's a free service

why they would begin playing it on the other hand is the question

if one click on the tom of the homepod it will play, maybe a periodic defect touch top one of them is causing it?

if it believes it hear a siri commend to play it could happen even if it was a false flag voice commend glitch

if it was me then I would break up the pair and keep one disconnected to troubleshoot and see if it's an issue when they are a pair, or if when only one of them is being used if one of them is the culprit

Never had occasion to use Apple Music 1 - Never Registered - No Account - Still it plays on its own at random, at all hours of the day or night - After a total unground/removal/ reload/reset/regroup, unit(s) will go for up to a day before it commences once again and then it’s off to the races.

These units are never touched accept for the last couple reloads.

Have seen a number of similar experiences here but no real solution ever documented.
