Why Is the Siri / Safari listen to page feature so unreliable?

Hi

Is the Siri / Safari “Listen to page” feature really that bad?

I ask Siri to read the page, in some pages it reads all the article, but in other pages it skips paragraphs, freezes or just stops reading in the middle of the article.

When I lock the screen, Siri takes 1 second to read each sentence.

When I want to listen to the article again, Siri just reads the last sentence and then stops. I have to manually scroll to the beginning of the audio track to listen to the entire page.

Is there a fix? Are there any plans to improve this useless feature?

Hopefully Apple would listen to us and fix it once and for all; there’re already tons of complains about it, and as a person with visual disabilities, I think this is such an appalling implementation, mainly for all of us who rely heavily on text to speech technologies and prefer natural sounding voices

The issue may be with the provider and how they have built the article, tag it, etc. Otherwise, apple.com/feedback

Which provider and which site? Doesn’t makes sense to me.

Firstly, the issue can occur with an article of the same page that has an article that works fine.

My internet connection isn’t the issue, it has been pretty decent and reliable since we changed provider in mid 2020, more than 4 years ago.

if I use the speak screen feature, the same article that Siri struggles to read plays fine.

Then what’s wrong with it?
