Do I delete Mobile Application duplicate files on my iMac?

I was cleaning my Mac and found many duplicates, new and old versions, in a folder called Music—iTunes Music - Mobile Applications. Should I delete the older ones? Do I need them in the first place on my Mac?

If they get removed from the App Store, or you have an older unit incapable of running the current iOS or iPadOS version, you may need those files to put the applications back on it; they're best stored on an external drive.
