how to remove Mac_SwapperDemon from Sequoia OS

I have a couple of login items, which I want to remove as they are from unidentified developer. One is Mac_SwapperDemon and the other is PPPMonitord. I cannot see how to remove them from the login and extensions folder. I read somewhere to delete SwapperDemon in the Activity Monitor which I did but that file does not appear in the Library>launchagents where I was told to look. As for PPPMonitord, I have not tried anything. How do these things come to be where they are? Any help is massively welcome!

Thank you for your advice Jim, I ran EtreCheck which found this app and gave me the option to delete it. So I did, and now it is gone! That is a very clever little app! Thank you so much for your advice!

Good Job! EtreCheck was developed by a fellow contributor on these forums who is still very active helping users. Although he cannot recommend the app himself on these forums as it would violate the terms of use for this site, it is an excellent tool and comes in very handy.

Thank you DavosCat. Both iMac and the MacBook Air side by side test about the same, 5.5Mbps upload and around 26-27Mbps download, which is a great improvement. Not sure what changed, but the router seems to be working fine now.

You are most welcome. One day, when you are on full fibre, you'll be amazed a just how quickly you'll see things!

Enjoy your long weekend! 😄
