Unable to send voice messages or photos on iMessage anymore

I’ve been having the exact same issue since end of April/beginning of May. I cannot send images or voice notes through iMessage. Called on 3 occasions and Apple did troubleshooting like resetting network settings, restarting phone, toggling on/off MMS messaging, cellular data, signing in and out of iCloud etc etc. nothing worked - they had me call my carrier which was also useless - troubleshooting through them found that there was no issues with my carrier and is likely the iOS - I went travelling and then came back and that’s when the issues started so I thought it was attributed to that but looks like I’m not the only one.

the only temporary solve I’ve found is to backup my iPhone, factory reset the phone and then restore from backup… the issue comes back after roughly 4 days but so far that’s the only annoying solution I’ve found.

Hi, Go to Settings > Messages turn off i message. Restart your phone, turn it back on. Make sure you back up your phone before you do this.

HI, I’m having the same issue with iMessage from at least two mounts, on both my iPhone 16 and iPad Pro M4.

I’ve already tried restarting the devices, disabled/activated iMessage from Settings and even deleted every conversations in attempt to start them over. None of those attempts have worked, forcing me to switch completely to other messaging apps.

I have been having the same issues with Voice notes, photos, gifys, etc. I too have hard rebooted the phone, reset my network settings, VPN off, turned off/on iMessages and wifi, and made sure my phone is updated. No improvement.

I called Apple and they told me to turn off/on the RCS messaging (go to message settings under your settings). It worked for a day or so, but went right back to what it was doing. It's been over a month dealing with this trash.

I’ve also been having the same problem since the middle to end of June. Even now I still can’t send anything, but I can receive photos, videos, voice, memos, etc., as well as regular text messages just fine.

I've also been having this issue for a while now. None of the simple solutions work for more than a day at best. I have an iphone15 pro. Apple needs to figure this out and fix it!

this is happening to me too, and my iPhone is only a couple weeks old.
