Private Browsing on Safari opens up only in a quarter of the screen

Whenever I open a private window in Safari with (⌘ + Shift + N), it only shows up in the top-left corner of the screen, and the rest just goes black. This only started happening recently — it used to work fine before. How do I fix it?black. How do i fix this issue.

This issue occurs after clearing cache, cookies, trying in safe mode, and reinstalling macOS, so I don't think it's an issue with the device to the best of my knowledge although I may be wrong.
