Set up individual iCloud+ account for family member who is currently on Family Sharing

Hi, We currently have family sharing for me and my eldest. They are now 16 and they want their own iCloud+ account. If they subscribe to their own iCloud+ account, will the photos and videos they currently have on their part of family sharing automatically transfer to their new iCloud+ account? Or do we need to manually move things over? Thanks for any advice. Bill, UK

However , if other family members subscribe to their own account , they have to leave Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support the family sharing account ( in this scenario they have to create new Apple ID account ) and share photos , the photos will never be shared in new iCloud plus account .

But her own apple id account is attached to primary family sharing account ( you or other person might be the organiser of that account ) , she can't share her photos when she subscribes her one new iCloud + storage plan .

Avoid sharing an Apple Account

Apple recommends that you do not share your Apple Account. Instead, set up Family Sharing so that each person uses their own Apple Account. This way, your family can share purchases, subscriptions, and more without sharing personal information like email, text messages, or passwords.

The article says sharing of subscriptions is for the primary family sharing account
