Books app can't open annotated PDF on my iPad

I was using books app for reading in IPad. Suddenly I was unable to open my previously annotated pdf, app says unable to open. Even after trying saving to other placed, couldn’t restore my book.

Unable to open book on Apple Books app in my iPad. For the last month, I have intermittently not been able to open books in my library. Now I can’t at all. Most of the books no longer display their covers, now simply a solid cover with the book title. I have updated to IOS 18.3.1. I have heard that the latest few updates are the cause of the problem. Why won't my PDFs open in Apple Books? I save plenty of info as PDFs in Books. The last time I accessed one of these files was yesterday (7/31/24). Today, none of these PDFs will open. There is no error message. I’ve force restarted iPad. Closed the Books app. Same issue. iOS is up-to-date (7/30/24). I was able to access the PDFs after the update so the update doesn’t appear to be the issue . Called Apple—aside from restarting iPad and closing the Books their ideas—delete the app or reset network settings. Neither of these are good options for me. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Apple Books PDF Suddenly Not Opening I have a PDF that I’ve been using on a regular basis on my iPad. I opened it on my phone yesterday and it worked fine. Now all of a sudden it says ‘Cannot Open Document; Unable to open [file].” The same thing is happening on my iPad. I also tried importing it to the Files app in which it only shows the title and file size when I open it. I haven’t done anything besides read and highlight it.
