Bootable external SSD made for M2 doesn't boot on M4?

I believe this has caused others a problem.

I have a 1TB USB 3.0 Bootable SSD which was created 18 months ago on my M2 mini.

I have tried booting it with my M4 mini but it refuses saying I don't have the authority.

I must admit I was half expecting this to happen so will I have to erase and reinstall it or is there some less drastic way to circumvent the refusal to boot?

Mac mini, macOS 15.4

Because of security measure in the Apple Silicon Macs and with macOS booting a drive made on another machine is no longer possible.

When creating a bootable drive, it not only gets tagged with the owner/administrator but also gets tagged with the machine it was created on. So, there is no way around trying to boot a drive made on one machine, even if it is the same model, on another machine.
