Apple Cash for child not working in stores

My son’s Apple Cash used to work fine in stores but now it will not. It can be used for online purchases fine. I have followed all the correct steps and enabled everything but it’s still not working. Please advise

How to add cash to Apple Cash I am trying to add cash to Apple Cash so I can send money to my granddaughters. Each time I try to add a credit card it says something to the effect it cannot be done. I have tried 4 different cards and I will not add a debit card.
