How can I print pages from Apple Books on my iPad?

I see I can buy a copy of Handel's Messiah from apple books. If I do, in addition to using my iPad in concert, can I print out a hardcopy of the pages I will be singing?

Most books don't allow printing from the Books app. You can probably take a screenshot and print that but it would be a cumbersome and unsatisfactory process.

However, if you want to print Handel's Messiah, you'd be better off downloading a pdf. It's something that's easily available in the public domain.

I did a search for "Handel's Messiah pdf" and this is one of the first examples:

And it's free.

Thank you for your kind attention. I was asking a question about the Apple Books app, not about sheet music. It is (or was) acceptable to print a copy of sheet music "for student or study purposes only", even if the copyright was still in effect (for churches, for instance).

There are many ways to get free copies of old sheet music, like the one you suggested. Website IMSLP, is one place, especially if the copyrights have run out.

I think you are telling me that the freedom to print something from an Apple book is according to the author of the book, not Apple.

Thanks, Jack
