Finalcut xml does not work together with Logic

Since mixing the audio „tracks“ is a nightmare in Finalcut, I tried to export them into an xml, expecting it to work well with Logic Pro, because both are Apple products.

But… as usual for everything related to Finalcut, nothing works as expected.

I made a simple test:

the Finalcut project contains 1 dialogue role, 2 effect roles, no music

all clips are correctly related, so ready to export the xml

Imported it to Logic,

wow, everything is in place

without changing anything I exported it back to xml

Imported it to a fresh Library in Finalcut

Boom, chaos, not unexpected.

no roles are existing, everything is dialogue, starts somewhere in the middle and repeats it three times

what is that? Does anyone else in the universe work successfully with this xml stuff or is it just a fake option?

FCPXML (it's not standard XML, it is specifically product specific "FCPXML") has never translated between Logic and FCP properly. It's always been unstable, unreliable, and about the most clunky, outdated, horrible round-trip I've ever seen in an application. Yes, you could call it a fake option. Over 10 years, still broken and useless.
