Logic Pro AUHostingService Issues

This service is taking up so much RAM that it even exceeds the main Logic Pro usage. Any advice on how to optimize on this?

Hi there,

How much RAM do you have?

  • Try to update our plug-ins to their latest version
  • Make sure they are compatible with Intel or Sillicon Chip (depending on what you own)
  • Perform a Full Audio Unit Reset

Choose Logic Pro > Settings (or Preferences) > Plug-In Manager.

Click "Full Audio Unit Reset".

Close Logic Pro, then reopen it to rescan all installed Audio Units plug-ins.

  • Make sure to update to the latest version of Logic Pro 11.1.2
  • Close unnecessary applications
  • Turn-Off Wi-Fi/Bluetooth (if appicable)

As a last resource, remove all plug-ins from the Au Components Folder and see if the problem persists.

It is best not to throw them away but merely save them on your desktop.

Hope that helps
