In the piano roll editor on my MacBook Air M2, with the latest versions of the operating system and Logic Pro, the piano roll editor scrolls back to the note C1 every time I play a higher note in the editor. This makes it practically impossible to work with MIDI in Logic Pro on my laptop. The MIDI editor works as it should on my Mac mini M1.
This issue has been known for several years and has been described on platforms like Reddit.

Is it possible that you have another track or multiple tracks selected in the Tracks area? Working just fine here but I did see the thread.
I thin I forgot to state that the problem only occurs in the piano roll editor when working with midi files in live loops. Please try that and see if you're also having the issue.
