iOS Photos - hidden
This pops up when I open iOS Photos
Which menu and where is it?
on the iPhone or on my Mac?

“Photos synced from a Mac or PC can be hidden from the library view using the filter menu.”

That is very great news, Chris. Wow! Apple is listening.
I am not seeing this on my iPhone and iPad however, perhaps because I am using iCloud Photos, and iCloud Photos is mutually exclusive with the manual syncing with iTunes or the Finder. This will make many users happy, who are wanting the Camera Roll back and need to exclude the synced photos from showing. Can you confirm that removing the checkmark "From my Mac" will suppress the synced photos and we are only seeing the photos save to the local library on the iPhone?
With iCloud Photos enabled I am only seeing these items in the Filter: Screenshots, Shared with you, Badge of the Shared Library.
It would be great, if you could turn this into a user tip, so those of us, who are using iCloud Photos can recommend to use the filter options, even we cannot see them on or iPhones.
What iOS are you using? I would presume this is in the Filter section of the iSort menu for the Phone's Library view, but I don't have anything new there in 18.4

I sync my photos to my Mac and delete them. Then I sync the photos back. This way I don’t have them on my phone twice (in the library and in the Camera Roll)

This will not show them if they are sync’d from the Mac but they are still on the iPhone.
iOS 18.4.
It’s in the sort menu at bottom left, under View Options.
