Safari constantly refreshes and complains about websites using too much memory.

I have a 2023 MacBook Pro with 36 GB of memory running Sequoia 15.4.

Safari keeps refreshing pages, making it impossible to use. Also, some pages that were working fine before are reloaded with an error message that it is using too much memory.

I have reluctantly switched to using Google Chrome, and it works perfectly fine.

Any suggestions on how I could fix this?

Safari runs out of available system memory Hi everyone, I have an issue with Safari running out of system memory for a few weeks and every time I have to close and reopen it. My Macbook has 16GB of RAM and hasn't had any problems up to now. It seems that all of a sudden Safari somehow can't handle the cache memory properly and quickly saturates it, blocking all the activities. I here attach the task and process monitor screenshots at the time of the memory run out. Apparently there is no reason for Safari to behave this way, also because it is the only app that gives me problems (I use Photoshop to process in parallel big files many Gb in size without any problem, while Safari crashes regardless by how many tabs I have open at that moment). Safari memory usage One single YouTube.com tab opened in Safari consumes about 11.5 GB of RAM, the page stops responding/freezes in the end (I cannot type anything in a search field nor click on any video). Tested with Firefox and it takes about 500 MB only. What is going on? MacBook Air M1 8 256 MacOS Ventura.

Safari memory ballons when using Safari on M2 Macbook Pro latest firmware/hardware I run into this issue nearly daily and after a few weeks I've had to stop using Safari all together because I'm not sure how far into a browsing session I'll be before pages become unresponsive due to the memory of Safari balloning to ridiculous sizes. In this instance, my Activity monitor would suggest that the issue is related to specific sites, however when the same sites are ran in Chrome or Firefox, they do not perform the same according to each browser's respective task manager. Other times, the line will reflect that Safari itself is taking up a large chunk of memory. As high as 4-6GB which seems absurd. The Macbook Pro is M2 and runs Monterrey 12.5.1. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the memory issue and/or how to fix? Or does anyone experience something similar?
