can my computer be updated and how can that be done?

My computer is old. It is hi Sierra. 10.13.6 is there a way to upgrade even one or two steps above this? This is my first time using Community.

My name is Chris. I have been the owner since the beginning of 2010 and it has only been used by myself no one else thank you for any advice.

You may want to install Firefox 115 ESR.

It might let you access some Web sites that High Sierra's version of Safari may be having trouble accessing. Still, a 2010 machine is very old, and there's only so much you can do even with applications like this. At some point, you might want to consider getting a current Mac.
