After an iOS update, all your data and photos must be re-indexed. That is the process where your iPhone organizes and creates a searchable database of your data. This would likely explain why your photo searches wouldn’t be showing up by keyword. You will notice that little by little more of your photos will show up and in a few days or so it should all be done indexing.
