AirPods Pro Detected Near You.

Hi Guys, a couple of specific questions, attached is a screenshot of a friend who got a pop up of AirPods Pro being detected near him, mine.

1) At what distance does the alert trigger or start tracking?

2) For how long does the device have to be moving with or near you to trigger?

3) At what distance or time does the tracking stop?

This was ok because we knew each other.

My thoughts are, hypothetically - a malicious person spots someone with AirPods on. They follow them until they get the alert.

They can then in theory track that person without the owner of the AirPods knowing about it as they are not notified, only the malicious person is.

Is this correct, any thoughts?
