How can I get Siri to open two or more apps?

Often I want to open two or more iPhone apps with Siri, because I use those apps together and I want to be able to switch between them quickly. But, Siri doesn't understand something elementary like "AND".

For example, "Siri open notes and gmail" will only open the first application.

So, yes, I often force close apps to change context in my day. I don't want the other apps open so that I can switch between relevant apps dexterously.

Makes sense.

It occurs to me that you could make a Shortcut that launches the apps you want and then use Siri to activate the shortcut.

You can let Apple know that's something you'd like to see here:

This makes me wonder if you are force closing apps on your phone. That's neither recommended nor necessary. And it will increase, albeit slightly, your battery consumption.
