iPhone speaker volume reduced after iOS 18.4 update

After I downloaded the new version of IOS 18.4 the speakers of my phone got quieter. I tried everything, restarted my phone I checked if my volume limit was turned on but it wasn’t and my speaker isn’t dirty. What should I do or this something Apple did with this new version because I saw that some people complained about it being too loud.

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you’re experiencing a reduced speaker volume after updating to iOS 18.4. Let’s work through some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check Sound Settings:

• Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual and make sure the sound balance is centered.

• Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety, and ensure “Reduce Loud Sounds” is turned off.

2. Reset All Settings:

• If the issue persists, try resetting all settings. This will restore system preferences without deleting your data. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

3. Check for Updates:

• Sometimes Apple releases follow-up updates to fix bugs. Please check for any available software updates by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

4. Test Different Audio Sources:

• Try playing audio from different apps or sources (e.g., music, videos) to see if the issue is isolated to a specific app.

5. Restore Your Device:

• If none of the above steps work, try backing up your device and performing a restore through iTunes (or Finder on Mac) or iCloud to ensure the issue isn’t software-related.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, please let us know. We can further assist you or check if there is a known issue with the iOS 18.4 update.
