How do I fix 'The keypad has been temporarily deactivated' on Schlage Encode Plus Door Lock?

I have a Schlage Encode Plus Door Lock. I’m continually receiving HomeKit notifications saying (The keypad has been temporarily deactivated due to multiple attempts using an incorrect access code).
