I need to remove/delete Apple Intelligence from my device. There's only option to turn it off which doesn't remove it. It takes too much space of my 64gb storage.

You''l have to turn off Apple Intelligence in Settings, backup your iPad, reset it to factory settings and restore the backup. This will clear the storage space used by Apple Intelligence.

I don't believe that will work. If they restore their device Apple Intelligence will still be built into iOS. You can't remove it. You can turn it off or on. There is no way to fully remove it.
I thought it would be enough to reclaim the storage.

First of all, Apple Intelligence doesn't come close to taking up 50GB. It takes about 7GB. Apple is NOT forcing you buy a new device. I make sure when I buy a new phone, I buy one with more storage than I think I might need. We all know what once purchased, there is no way to increase the storage on an iPhone. And we also know technology continues to advance faster than hardware. To assume we won't need more space in the future is an unfortunate assumption.
I too have read that turning it off does permit the system to reclaim the space. But I can't confirm that as I use and actually really like Apple Intelligence, so I'm simply not willing to turn it off to test that.
Misunderstanding from your side. It's not about clearing the history because user don't use Apple Intelligence at all. It's about deleting Apple Intelligence completely which takes up to 7GB space.

I tried to erase all content and settings - it didn't affect it. Still there, 7gb.

Exactly as I suggested. It's built into iOS whether you use it or not.
