Lost documents in Pages

I've never had this happen before and have had pages for many years but one unnamed document (I was writing every few days to my husband who had recently passed away. It was like a journal of grief and was very important to me.) has totally disappeared. I've done everything but contact Apple support. It is nowhere to be found. I noticed others have had this happen but the dates in the discussion are in 2022. Has anyone had this happen lately. Today is March 28, 2025. Thanks for any help.
