Text effects like “Reveil” and “Prism” are not working in imovie

When I add title text to a movie frame, the effects like “prism”, “pop up”, “reveal”, and other text effects are not working. The text simply suddenly appears absent the effect associated with it. Did Apple break this feature when they did the last update, because thats when it stopped working properly.

iMovie vanishing title text Hello. I am wrapping up the iMovie but it has been a struggle. Recently I have had several title texts disappear. Several times not anywhere near the clip or other text box I am working on. Several times when this has happened I happened to see it vanish so I have clicked on the title box, go to edit, and select restore text. But, several times I do not find a retrieval path.I think it is my mistake and in ignorance strike a key (I think maybe space bar) after a sequence of mouse clicks, a combination which is programmed to delete title text. Does anyone have an idea of the mouse click and key strokes that will delete title text so I can avoid this, or some other suggestion how my title texts disappear? I can search this but am trying to save some time by seeing forum knowledge first.thanks as usual. bobmesagj

Adding Text in imovie In the past I have been able to add text using the Titles, and also been able to change the size of the font. Now, nothing is working with the font size. The Titles are hard enough to work with already, but now it is really impossible, as every text box comes out in a different size depending on how many words there are. Please, can anyone help!

iMovie TL;DR text in my transitions is getting cut off. I'm building a slideshow in iMovie10.3.5 , when I put in transitions with text it gets cropped so I can only see some of it. Cropping is to fit, but crop to fill is the same. Thinking it could be aspect ratio but cant seem to figure out how to change it, not in preferences. Any ideas? R
