Face ID not unlocking locked notes

"Face ID not unlocking locked notes: I just went to open an important locked note with face ID and it wouldn’t let me even though the feature is enabled in settings. I put in a password and i don’t member what it is and the hint isn’t helping. i’m really confused because just last week face id worked."

Troubleshooting Face ID:

There are know stand alone updates for Face ID that I am aware of.

Overview these two links:

• If an Alert Says Face ID has been Disabled on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support
• If Face ID isn't Working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

Also, Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: on when this all began, and how you've troubleshot this, thus far.. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Reset Face ID and the Face ID Passcode on your iPhone:

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: Face ID & Passcode
3. Tap: Reset Face ID
4. Set Up: Face ID again
