Why is the volume so low on my new iMac M4?

Had this new iMac four days and the volume of music, videos, CDs played from my accessary CD burner/player (which worked great on the old iMac). Even the sounds associated with opening, closing apps, receipt of email or texts and everything else.

Volume on iMac 24" suddenly diminished 2021 model In the middle of a TV episode the sound suddenly went way down and stays that way in other TV shows (These are all downloaded and stored on the HD). Moving the slider in preferences does nothing. Problem does not seem to be happening with music. Nor with the tone played when the computer is restarted.

Why is the iMac M4 volume lower than older models? I bought a 2024 iMac M4 to replace a late 2017 iMac running Monterey. The volume level especially at the first 1-4 bars seems much lower on the M4 vs the 2017 iMac. I'm using Audio Engine HD6 Powered speakers connected to iMac by either Bluetooth or Headphone jack. Volume on HD6 set at max. Volume on Music app slider set at max and I'm using keyboard to raise lower system volume. Anyone else notice a volume difference between older Macs and M4 Macs or is it me! The iMac max volume got lower down after upgrade to macOS Ventura compare macOS Monterey Did anyone of you face the same challenge? Is there anywhere to increase it back like macOS Monterey's time? I missed the surround sound system and super clear voice
