LaCie SSD 2 TB drive locked

I purchased this LaCie SSD Secure drive at the Apple Store a couple of years ago to back up my MacBook Pro. I have used a couple of times, but after installing Sonoma os the drive can't be unlocked. It requires permission access but the directions don't match what I see on my computer. It says to access permission thru Privacy & Security however the window opened by the Seagate Secure (LaCie) doesn't match the image shown. My Privacy $ Secure window is a long list of drop down menus, non of which seem applicable whereas the image the Seagate Secure shows is a folder image with a dedicated space to allow access.

I want to erase this disc and reformat to AFPS format, but I can't access it.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.7

If you used the LaCie proprietary software to manage the SSD's built-in hardware encryption, then that software will need to be used to unlock the SSD. With a new OS, that proprietary software most likely needs to be updated to the most current version.

Otherwise we would need to see screenshots of what you are seeing.
