how to aboid prompt to use Microsot browsers/search engines in Safari?

Every time I click a link in Apple iOS programs or do a Safari search I’m asked whether I want to continue in Chrome or Bing. Aaaargh! How to avoid this prompt! I’m a longstanding Mac person on Mac devices and latest iOS

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18

Do you have Safari set as your default browser? Do you have the Chrome browser installed?

Since Chrome & Bing are two entirely different things (one is a browser, the other is a search engine), I might suspect a browser hijacker. I suggest installing Malwarebytes and let it scan your system. If Malwarebytes finds a browser hijacker it will remove it.
