My auto "delete after use" option seems to be working fine when it is check on my Mac Book Air M1, but my issue is that it is not staying on the "on" position for a long time. I have to reactivate it on a regular basis.
Any ideas how to fix that ?

Start now and open an Apple Support Ticket as they are Apple Employees to deal will these types of issues .

The SMS forwarding on the iPhone was and is always enable to my MacBook Air. No issue there.
Every thing works fine and auto fills the codes from SMS or emails when needed, and delete them when the feature is ON. It is just that my Mac turns this feature Off for no reason ?!

I can not find the corresponding Setting on macOS >> Messages that would, as you say, " Mac turns this feature Off for no reason ?

Did you remember to update the SMS forwarding on your phone to enable forwarding to the new MacBook?
On the iPhone: Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding > {MacName} -- enable the slider.
When I receive a Verification Code from my Governmental Revenue Website
It usually comes via SMS and auto fills the code
I do not see in 1 - Messages on my Apple Computer nor on 2 - my iPhone a setting to Turn this feature On or Off
It is on my MacBook Air (M1, 2020, Sonoma) that it is happening, not on my iPhone. The "Delete after use" feature (prior screenshot), in the "Password/Password Options" of my Mac, deselects itself. I have to go back once in a while to reselect it.
