since i updated to ios 18, all apps stutter while scrolling, loading apps annoyingly slow, for example the app store. when i navigate in settings it opens the next page with a delay. it's a huge step back compared to ios 17. why can't apple optimize in 2025? very annoying for a one year old flagship phone.

Have you considered that Apple HAS optimized for 2025, and the 2 billion phones in use don’t have this problem except for yours, and perhaps a few others?
Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN. VPN actually reduces your privacy, it does not enhance it, so you may want to rethink the reason you use VPN.
first of all, thank you for your help. I don't have a VPN. and these errors affect not only me but many users. if there were such errors on a 5-year-old iPhone, then I say it fits. but many iPhone 15 and 16 owners are also complaining. these clearly seem to be optimization errors that Apple is finding increasingly difficult to solve.
I don’t mean to argue, but my spouse’s 15 PM is performing flawlessly. She’s on 18.3.2 and the only real issues are Instagram, Facebook and to a lesser degree Messenger. I’m curious what apps are causing your concerns and frustration? Have you had you iPhone examined by Apple Support?
