how to extend time before the computer times out

I want my iMac to stay on longer before it times out and asks again for my password.

Settings > Lock Screen.

You will find those settings there.

iMac stopped requiring a password after startup iMac (27 inch 2013 macOS Catalina) has stopped requiring a password after startup or restart. It starts up and can be used without a password. However, if awaken from sleep it requires the password. I would like my password protection back after startup. Any ideas?
