Please have the device checked out at a Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP):

Or, you can contact Apple Support about it:

Good Luck!

It can’t be a hardware issue because I didn’t drop the phone or whatsoever, just started showing immediately I updated to iOS 18.3.2
i think part of the software that blacks out the camera and Face ID components is bugged and that’s y it shows like this, Apple should just fix this in the upcoming updates.

Hardware can randomly fail, you never know when, it’s simply inevitable. Also software updates cannot possibly cause hardware issues. My advice above remains unchanged though.

I now see what you are referring to above your Dynamic Island. If it doesn’t show on screenshots and screen recordings, it would indicate this is a hardware issue. Make a reservation and take it to your nearest Apple Store’s Genius Bar or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for evaluation and service options.

Software updates definitely can cause hardware issues bruh

Maybe in a machine where poor code can make the machine tear itself apart, but can it happen in iPhones?

I’m not sure. I’d love to know though, if anyone has any input.

I believe software updates do not cause hardware issues, and that is a big fallacy. Instead hardware issues are usually caused by physical damage to the iPhone.
