Click track mutes itself.

I've been reading about some people having trouble with the click track on Logic Pro X 11 sounding. For a while, mine would mute, and I could only hear it through the drum track, and not very well. And I couldn't get the click to work during the count in. d

I started from scratch with no template and put a song together, and it might be working OK, but if I mute all of the tracks, the click mutes as well, even though I didn't mute that. Is this normal?

I've used Logic for many years and never had this problem. Is it the new version? Anyone else have problems?

Thanks.

I've narrowed the problem down further. Looks like it's an issue with my laptop dock. I've got my headphones plugged into the dock instead of directly into my Macbook. When I have to choose my dock as the audio output, the click track doesn't work. Plugging directly into my Macbook, or not using the headphones and selecting Macbook Pro Speakers, lets me hear the click track just fine.

I'm going to look into this further, but for now, at least I have a way to hear the click track again. Thanks for your help!

So I go into the Input control for the Klopfgeist and turn the Tonality all the way up and I can hear the click track. What's funny is that when I start playback and play some notes, the click track is louder, like normal. But when I stop playing, the normal click track vanishes in a few beats and I'm left with the audible clicks that I get from turning up the Tonality.

This happened to a client of mine. We uninstalled/reinstalled Logic Pro along with clearing the .plist and it fixed it.

Can you try this to see if it rectifies it?

The click track is "Solo safe" which means that it is not affected by soloing other tracks. You can actually Mute it though so be careful.

Did you by chance play around in Logic Pro's Environment? This click behavior should not be happening.

Can you confirm that his behavior occurs in Brand New empty sesssions?

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the reply, EddieGrey. I've tried all the settings in the Metronome Settings. The only way the click track stays on is when I turn on Division. I've tried it with the Simple mode on and off.

I did just get a new computer, a 2024 Macbook Pro running Sequoia. I transferred all my Logic files to it. I'm wondering if I put some important folders in the wrong place. I might try just uninstalling/reinstalling Logic Pro to get a fresh start.
