Air pod displays wrong location

My cat’s air pod is home with me but shows location several houses down the street.

Is someone tracking me? I have had this notification keep piping up on my phone the past few days saying “ air pod maxs found moving with you the owner of this device can see its location” and just today it has changed to air pods. It is showing my HOME location and then a different building.. I only get these notifications at night. I try to play sound when it is available but I never hear anything and when I try to look the air pods move back to the building not to far from where I live. It only shows my location and a different location it doesn’t follow me anywhere else but it shows someone else has where I live. I’m not sure what to do about it. I’ve tried going to multiple stores to ask for help but they say they can’t help. It won’t give me the option to remove the device without having the device.

I can’t access apple home due to apple pod being off? I’ve switched off at the plug my homepod, due to being away for a week. Out of curiosity, I went to check to see if the WiFi plugs that powers the table light and the pond pump were working. Upon checking apple home, all the items state they’re unavailable. my question is, will the WiFi plugs still work regardless if the apple pod is switched off? I have the plugs set to switch on / off at certain times throughout the day. Thank you

If you just got home then your AirPods might not have updated their location yet, or could have a location that’s off from where you actually are. There’s also a chance your AirPods may have just ran out of battery while you were on your way home meaning they would show up where they were last seen. You can see when they were last seen in the Find My app or on the web.
