Typing into iPhone - multiple spelling errors - mistypes nearly every word - it is driving me crazy. I have tried turning off Apple dictionary (it was not turned on). I have also tried the Transfer or Reset fix. I have restarted the phone a couple of times. Nothing is working. I know I am not the only one as I see lots of complaints on social media. What is Apple doing about this issue? Any suggestions for a fix please?

Report this to Apple:
If this has been reported in these forums multiple times, then it needs to be reported directly to Apple. It may be a bug. Question is: "Just how many people have actually reported it to Apple?"
So, do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. These are just user-to-user forums. Apple barely read these forums as it is on their own time and will. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of you occurrences, if you don't report it to them.

Fixing Multiple Spelling Errors:
As for messages, you only have so long to undo a sent message. So, if you made a spelling error, then it is too late.
As for Spelling Check, Enable it:
