Changing music file description to audiobook

I’ve copied some audiobook cds to music but want them to be audiobook files. I’ve gone into get info>options>media kind to get the audiobook option up but it steadfastly stays on music giving me no other option

Hi,

The Music app doesn't function as an integrated media library in the way that iTunes did. If I recall there is no direct way to import CDs into the Books app, you first need to rip the CDs with Music, adjust metadata if needed, then add the files to the Books app, and finally delete the tracks from Music. See Organizing audiobook chapters - Apple Community for some advice on the metadata. You cannot edit some of these properties in Books so best get it right in Music first. See also Managing your Mac media libraries - Apple Community.
