How do I fix 'Something went wrong' error when using Apple Music on Mac?

I started using Apple Music. I activated the account on my iPhone, which works fine, but on my MacBook, I get an error message: "Something went wrong. Please try again later." I have tried restarting, etc., but the result is the same.
