Where can I find lost journal entries on Pages?

I keep a journal going on Pages. Instead of continuing on the one page for all journal entries one day I for whatever reason started a new page, which i then had to title Journal I and Journal II. Today I copied and pasted all of Journal II on to Journal I but I lost ALL of Journal I in the process. It must be on my computer somewhere but I can't find it. I have an external hardrive and I went back a few days to grab Journal I there but it only had Journal II. Where is it??

If the content in Journal 1 was selected and you copied/pasted Journal II content into that document, it would have overwritten the selected Journal 1 content.

You can open the document where you lost the Journal 1 entries and from the File menu > Revert To > Browse all versions. This will present a Time machine-similar interface where you can go backward in the document versions until what you lost appears. Then click Restore to get it back.

Failing that, and providing you are using Time Machine, then launch the Time Machine application from your /Applications folder and hunt backward in time for your Pages document before you copied the Journal II content onto it. Once found, click Restore.
