Removing duplicates in mass from Music

Apple Music has been wreaking havoc with my music library. I now have almost 11,000 exact duplicate songs.

In the Music folder on an external hard drive, it only shows one song - there is no visible evidence of a songs being doubled. But in Music, they are clearly visible as being duplicates. Exact duplicates.

I know how to find duplicates, but making thousands of manual deletions is nonsense.

Any way to get rid of duplicates in mass? Or "empty" Music and re-import?

This duplication nightmare has rendered Music almost unlistenable.
